Google Inc. released its first report detailing nationwide economic impact which claims they generated $222 million in economic activity in Kansas in 2009.
Google generated $54 billion in economic activity nationwide in 2009, it said in the report released Tuesday.
The search engine (Nasdaq: GOOG) derived its numbers by examining the number of businesses, Web site publishers and nonprofits using its search and advertising tools, as well as the number of grants it awarded to nonprofits.
