The spark for this website and what it will become is due in part to my interview with my current employer for a job as an SEO/SEM Analyst for our company’s website. The final result of this websites success is driven by my natural way to cope with negativity or disappointments in my life by taking it to the next level.

I had introduced my SEO experience to several people on my job since they announced back in February that my current department would be closing its doors at the end of July. I have a great Vice President who has told us he is doing his best and I believe it. But my personality has always been to create opportunities as you can see with building this website. So I let it become public that I am an SEO expert and would love to offer my skills to this company.

For example, as of writing this, I show up in the number one spot for Overland Park SEO Expert and Kansas City SEO Expert. I have beat out websites that have higher PR rankings and more content! I also show up on the first page of Google for the term SEO Coach.

At any rate, my company went outside and found someone else and selected another person and I was told that it was due to her experience. I am not mad at them for their decision but I am disappointed and would be lying through my pretty smile if I told you that I know that I was the best person for the job. I have a Venus and Serena mentality when it comes to things I go after.

I knew my shot for the job was a longshot after meeting with the final person who told me that I was not the perfect person for this job because my resume did not show that I worked for Google or GoDaddy. He also spent most of the time trying to convince and prove that we were equal in our knowledge although he has never supported his family fulltime from home, he does not have a B.S. in Computer Information Management, he has never launched as many websites single handedly as I have, he has gone to conventions but never been the keynote of conventions as I have, and he has never made the newspapers nor television as much as me. Also I am more than a decade older than him so when I got my start into SEO tactics, it was before it was called SEO and I spoke with people who have literally invented the trade, made millions from their home computers while he was still in highschool.

Like I said, I am telling my truth. His may be different. But hey, it’s my website about SEO.

I showed him a technique of using DIGG. Or I should say that I tried to share this advanced technique with him but he immediately replied that it was a “poor example of SEO and (I) should not show this if I wanted to get into SEO. When he said that, I stopped talking because I knew he didn’t have a clue about SEO but he needed to do what he could to show his control over the decision making process.

He made it very clear that he was added to the interview rounds because he had to make sure that the company was hiring the best candidate for SEO. I thought to myself, “since you are not going to hire me, then perhaps you should have me sit in on the interviews to find the best candidate for SEO since I have done a bit more than read a book or visit Matt Cutts blog.”

A bit sarcastic, I know. But I felt that I set the benchmark for them to find what they were looking for and I still sit in a department that is dwindling down to nothing. (sniff)

Oh well. Although saddened by this series of events, I came home and continued with SEO techniques that rip Google apart and give me the opportunity to dominate the search engines for my keywords. And I have done just that.

I am the type of person that will be NUMBER ONE. Coming in second or third place is no victory. I am the best at what I do. I may not have been hired for this job, but I am NUMBER ONE with Google. That counts for something, right? :)

My goal is simple: I want to either a) get a job as an Advanced SEO Specialist, b) work with 20 businesses as their personal SEO Coach and Consultant, c) create a site to help educate companies on the questions to ask SEO candidates, or d) train people on ways to learn SEO.

Let me know your thoughts on any of this.

Search engine optimization will not be the same now that Kimberly Kimbrough is destined to be the “Queen of SEO.”
