No, I Don’t Look Like Bill Gates, but Hire Me Anyway for Kansas City SEO!
(exhale)….I had to scream that title. I am in a mad search to find my “destination” job for SEO work in Kansas City. I am interested in SEO work in Overland Park, ideally.
I moved to Kansas City in 2003 with my spanking brand new Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Management, my kid, and $2000 in my pocket. I moved here without a job but I knew that I could get on at Sprint, afterall, I was a Sprint customer for many years. So why not?
But when I arrived into Kansas City, I found out the hard way that Sprint had laid off a bunch of their tech people. I went to interview after interview and the most I got was call center work. I never could break in. So that’s why I quit working and went home and started my own business building websites and marketing them online. I spent more time researching internet marketing, affiliate marketing, email listbuilding, and search engine optimization strategies and I used my customer sites as examples of my marketing skills.
Well I made my customers money but made no money for myself. I work now but I still have a passion for Search Engine Optimization. And I am keen on getting a Kansas City SEO position or an Overland Park SEO position.
Finally, people like me who have made moderate livings from generating income by creating online ventures have a future in a corporation, advertising agency, or internet company. The question is finding the right opportunity and having the employer believe that you have what it takes.
Hence, the comment about me not looking like the typical tech geek. Let’s face it, I do not look a thing like Bill Gates. But I am very geeky although I love my heels, my favorite black dress, my lovely white smile, and my height! I hope that businesses in Overland Park and Kansas City who are looking for an SEO Specialist in Kansas City or ans SEO Specialist in Overland Park will remain open minded.
I guarantee and will publicly make this commitment that the company that is smart enough to overlook my lack of taped glasses and nerdy hair and can appreciate my locs will have the most powerful SEO. I will crush your competition and place you at the top just for being the one company smart enough to recognize that women who are SEO Experts in Kansas City must work twice as hard as their counterparts sometimes.
